Pottsville's Adam Klinger

POTTSVILLE — For the third time in four days, Pottsville’s Adam Klinger broke a diving record.

Saturday, the Crimson Tide junior broke the school’s 11-dive record down at the Flips of Fury event at Parkland. Sunday, Klinger set the Glen Belmont Natatorium 11-dive mark by winning the Schuylkill League Diving Invitational at Blue Mountain.

Tuesday, Klinger did it again, breaking his own record in the six-dive event in an 88-32 Schuylkill League boys’ swimming victory over Marian at the Ned Hampford Natatorium.

Klinger scored 277.20 points, breaking his previous mark of 262.8.

Michael Prestileo (200 free, 100 fly) won a pair of individual events for Pottsville (12-2, 9-2 SL), which swept the relays. Jamison Walsh (100 free), Caiden Wright (500 free) and Marty Davis (100 breast) each added victories for the Tide.

Michael Strucko (50 free, 100 fly) won two events for the Colts (3-7-1, 3-7-1).

Chase Meyers (200 free) and Joe Campbell (100 fly) each won an individual event for the Spartans (8-4, 7-4).

Ethan Miller (100 free, 100 breast) won a pair of events and swam on the winning 200 free relay team for Schuylkill Haven (3-10-1, 3-7-1), while Luke Smith took first in diving.

Hope Stauffer (50 free, 100 free) and Nikki Domermuth (200 IM, 100 fly) each won a pair of events and swam on two winning relays for the Hurricanes, who won nine of the 12 events. Taylor Fitzpatrick (500 free), Teagan Wehr (100 back) and Cali Stauffer (100 breast) also notched wins.

North Schuylkill won the meet with a 1-2 finish in the final event, the 400 freestyle relay.
