Girls’ Soccer

Blue Mountain 3, Pine Grove 2 — Lexi Waschko’s second-half goal broke a 2-2 tie and lifted the Eagles past the Cardinals in a Schuylkill League Division I game at Cardinal Stadium.

First-half goals by Hailey Scheuer and Alex Warke gave Blue Mountain a 2-0 halftime lead, but Pine Grove (9-4, 6-3 D-I) tied it with pair of goals, one by Viktorya Luckenbach. The Cardinals had their five-match win streak snapped.

Makayla Keck made 10 saves in net for Blue Mountain (8-5, 6-3 D-I).

Central Columbia 1, Pottsville 0 — At Alumni Field, Joey Devlin’s goal off an assist by Quinlan Blake at 67:37 lifted the visiting Blue Jays to a non-league victory over the Tide.

Pottsville keeper Aubrey Scanlan kept the Tide (9-4-1) in it with 12 saves. Central Columbia outshot Pottsville 13-1.

Hamburg 2, North Schuylkill 0 — M. Wilkes and J. Christman scored a pair of second-half goals as the Hawks blanked the Spartans at Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium.

Wilkes’ goal was on a penalty kick after a handball in the box with 25:11 left. Christman gave Hamburg some insurance with her goal with 17:42 remaining. Maddie Moyer made 14 saves in net for North Schuylkill (10-3).

Boys’ Soccer

North Schuylkill 1, Lehighton 0 — Brady Welker’s goal 6 minutes into the game gave the Spartans (9-5) an early lead and North Schuylkill’s defense made it stand in a non-league victory over the Indians (5-8-1).

Fabrizio Manganiello assisted on Welker’s goal. Kaden Onuschak recorded the shutout, making six saves.

Williams Valley 4, Nativity 2 — Cody Boehmer scored twice as the Vikings outlasted the Green Wave in a Schuylkill League Division II contest.

Boehmer’s second goal, at the 55-minute mark, broke a 2-2 tie. Xzavion Tennis and Collin Burger added goals for Williams Valley (4-9, 4-6 D-II), while Burger, Caylan Hoffman and Riley Meloy had assists. Owen Mace had four saves in net.

Lucas Sanchez scored both goals for Nativity (3-11, 1-8 D-II), including one in the final minute of the first half to tie the match at 2-2 at intermission. Keeper Emmalee Pinkey made 12 saves for Nativity.

Blue Mountain 6, Marian 0 — Shawn Batory had three goals and two assists as Blue Mountain shut out Marian in a Division I game at Hometown.

Dylan Knittle added two goals  and one assist for the Eagles (9-5-1, 8-1-1 D-I). Hayden Freed connected on Blue Mountain’s other goal. Evan Burcik, Blake Batory and Drew Waschko collected assists for the Eagles.

Blue Mountain outshot Marian (3-11, 1-8 D-I) by a 21-0 count, allowing Caden Wargo to notch the shutout in goal.

Schuylkill Haven 3, Tri-Valley 0 — Carter Daniel scored a pair of first-half goals to lift Schuylkill Haven over Tri-Valley in a Division II match at Rotary Field.

Grayson Fessler had the Hurricanes’ other goal, and Luke Smith picked up an assist on Daniel’s first goal.

Gavin Wade made nine saves in posting the shutout in goal for Schuylkill Haven (8-5, 6-3 D-II). Brayden Leese made four saves for Tri-Valley (7-6-1, 5-4 D-II).

In other boys’ soccer action Monday, Lourdes downed Pottsville 3-1,  and Minersville beat Weatherly 7-3.

Girls’ Volleyball

Schuylkill Haven 3, Minersville 0 — At Minersville, Karlee Feger had 10 kills, two aces and two digs as the Hurricanes swept the Miners in a Schuylkill League Division II match.

Teagan Wehr had a double-double with 17 digs and 10 assists, while Jolynn Ross had 16 assists, five aces and four kills for Schuylkill Haven (9-4, 7-3 D-II), which has won six straight and moved into a tie for third place in the Division II standings.

Camryn Colna notched nine kills and had six digs for Minersville (7-10, 5-5 D-II), while Ayla Castle had 16 assists and three digs and Hailey Croley had five kills, five digs and two blocks.

Schuylkill Haven won JV 2-1.

Lourdes 3, North Schuylkill 1 — At Fountain Springs, Anna Keer compiled 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks to pace the Red Raiders past the Spartans in a Division I contest.

Anna Krebs dished out 17 assists and had two aces, two kills and six digs for Lourdes (3-7 D-I). Ella Kerris added six aces, five kills and eight digs.

Kyla Carado had 10 kills to lead North Schuylkill (1-9 D-I), while Brigid Flynn had seven kills, two assists and two digs and Emily Walsh added six kills and four blocks. North Schuylkill won JV 2-0.

Blue Mountain 3, Northwestern Lehigh 1 — At Orwigsburg, Jaedyn Bartholomew notched 21 kills and had nine digs, two assists and two blocks to lead the Eagles to a 25-23, 25-19, 10-25, 25-22 non-league win over the Tigers (7-8).

Alexa Marshall tallied 11 kills and eight digs for Blue Mountain (9-5), while Isabella Grasso had 34 assists, six digs and two kills. Northwestern Lehigh won JV 2-0.

Pine Grove 3, Shamokin 1 — At Coal Township, Domani Collazo recorded 17 kills, six blocks, four aces and three digs as the Cardinals topped the Indians 25-13, 25-19, 16-25, 25-15 in a non-league match.

Payton Harris added 19 assists, nine digs, eight aces and two kills for Pine Grove (10-5), while Molly Drumheller had 18 digs.

Autumn Keller had 11 kills and 13 digs to lead Shamokin, while Ava Bonshock had seven kills and 12 digs and Kealy Herman collected 17 assists.

Pine Grove won JV 2-0.

Weatherly 3, Lincoln Leadership 1 — At Allentown, Rachel Rosenlund had 18 service points, 10 aces, two kills and 14 assists to guide the Wreckers (3-9) to a non-league win over Lincoln Leadership.

Kelly Reiner added 16 service points, five aces, four kills and four digs for Weatherly, while Abby Binder had seven service points, two aces, three kills and two digs.
