Boys’ Soccer
Schuylkill Haven 1, Williams Valley 0 — At Williamstown, Chase Fisher’s first-half goal lifted Schuylkill Haven to a Schuylkill League Division II victory. Carter Daniel assisted on the score.
Owen Mace made 10 saves for the Vikings (2-6, 2-4 D-II); Gavin Wade stopped three shots for the Hurricanes (5-4, 4-2).
Blue Mountain 7, Lourdes 0 — At the Eagles’ Nest, Shawn Batory tallied four goals and two assists to power Blue Mountain to a Division I win.
Drew Waschko added two goals and one assist for the Eagles (5-4, 5-1 D-I). Brayden Lightcap netted the final goal for Blue Mountain, which led 3-0 at halftime.
Caden Wargo made one save to post the shutout for the Eagles; Kyle Baranoski stopped eight shots for Lourdes.
Girls’ Soccer
Tamaqua 4, Catasauqua 0 — At Tamaqua, Kimmy Rudy tallied two goals and Kolbe Robb added a goal and an assist to lead Tamaqua to a non-league victory.
Sam Plasha scored her first varsity goal in the win. All of the scoring was done by seniors on Senior Appreciation Night. In addition, senior Ronnie Scott recorded her first shutout of the season with seven saves in goal for Tamaqua (2-8).
Brooke Barna saved 16 shots for Catasauqua (2-7).
Girls’ Volleyball
Pottsville 3, Northwestern Lehigh 0 — At New Tripoli, Lainey Dusel had 11 digs, seven kills and one ace as Pottsville swept Northwestern Lehigh 25-16, 27-25, 25-17 in non-league action.
Megan Yost added eight digs, 34 assists and three kills; and Rhyan Brennan compiled eight kills, one block, nine digs and one ace for the Crimson Tide (7-2).
Northwestern Lehigh won JV 2-0.
Governor Mifflin 3, Blue Mountain 1 — At Orwigsburg, Jaedyn Bartholomew had 18 kills, 15 digs and four blocks for Blue Mountain in a 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 27-25 non-league loss to Governor Mifflin.
Alexa Marshall added nine kills and seven digs, while Madison Gerlott tallied nine kills and seven digs for the Eagles (5-4).
Governor Mifflin won JV 2-0.
Pine Grove 3, Tri-Valley 1 — At Hegins, Domani Callazo racked up 24 kills, nine digs and three aces to lead Pine Grove to a 25-23, 14-25, 25-13, 25-14 non-league win over Tri-Valley.
Mary Fertig had 12 digs, 44 assists and three aces, while Madison Shiffer hit seven kills for the Cardinals (4-4).
For Tri-Valley (7-2), Aubrianna Zimmerman had three aces and five kills; Callie Melocheck compiled 32 assists, 19 digs and one ace; and Faith Melocheck contributed eight kills, seven digs and one ace.
Tri-Valley won JV 2-0.
Mahanoy Area 3, Minersville 0 — At Mahanoy City, Lexie Chilinskas racked up 30 assists and five digs as Mahanoy Area topped Minersville 25-11, 25-15, 25-15 in a non-league match.
Hailey Mroczka added 10 kills and eight digs; and Naomi Kowalick contributed five kills and nine digs for the Golden Bears (8-2).
For Minersville (4-7), Camryn Colna had six digs, four kills and two aces; Ayla Castle added seven digs and five assists; and Hailey Croley chipped in six digs, three blocks, one kill and one assist.
Mahanoy Area won JV 2-0.
Schuylkill Valley 3, Marian 1 — At Leesport, Isabella Horvat had nine kills, 13 digs and three aces for Marian, but the Fillies dropped a 25-12, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21 non-league match to Schuylkill Valley.
Alena Lombardo added nine kills and one block; Eris Hayes tallied 27 assists, nine digs and two aces; and Caydense Smith made 19 digs and hit one ace for the Fillies (5-3).
Schuylkill Valley won JV 2-0.
Executive Education 3, Weatherly 0 — At Allentown, Rachel Rosenlund had three service points and three assists for Weatherly in a 25-12, 25-11, 25-13 non-league loss to Executive Education.
Kaiya Kunkle had two service points, one kill, one block and one dig; while Abby Weston contributed three service points, one ace, one kill, one block and two digs for the Wreckers (1-6).
