For the fourth time in five weeks, there’s a new No. 1 team in the T102SportsNow.com Super 7 high school football poll.
Tamaqua climbs to the top position for Week 5 after the Blue Raiders (4-0) downed Jim Thorpe and last week’s No. 1, Blue Mountain (3-1) suffered a 30-8 defeat to Northwestern Lehigh. Schuylkill Haven (Week 1), North Schuylkill (Week 2) and Blue Mountain (Weeks 3-4) previously held the No. 1 spot. Voting is done by three T102SportsNow.com writers and the WPPA and T-102 broadcast anchors.
Williams Valley (4-0) jumps to No. 3, followed by Schuylkill Haven (3-1) and Minersville (3-1). North Schuylkill (2-2) drops from No. 3 to No. 6 after falling to Southern Lehigh, while Nativity climbs back into the poll with its win over Tri-Valley.
