HS Baseball Roundup: Eagles, Blue Raiders and Dawgs collect D-I wins as postseason race heats up

ORWIGSBURG — Evan Setlock came out of a pitchers’ duel victorious for Blue Mountain on Tuesday evening.
Setlock pitched a complete-game two-hitter and struck out seven as the Eagles edged North Schuylkill 1-0 in a Schuylkill League Division I game at Allen Greenawalt Field.
Setlock faced 24 batters and needed just 77 pitches to span all seven innings for Blue Mountain (9-4, 7-1 D-I). The Eagles’ only run came in the bottom of the third after Matt Grasso singled to lead off the inning. Grasso scored on an error off a ground ball hit by Brady Strause. Riley Sebastian had a sacrifice bunt to advance Grasso earlier in the inning.
For the Spartans (4-8, 2-6), Kolton Joyce threw six innings and allowed one run (unearned) on two hits. Stephen Minahan had both hits for North Schuylkill.

TAMAQUA — Luke Kane and Noah Mateyak each compiled two hits and a pair of RBIs as Tamaqua got the better of Pine Grove in a Division I game.
Logan Morgans added a hit and two RBIs for the Blue Raiders (13-1, 7-1 D-I).
Chandler Sirbaugh singled and collected two RBIs for the Cardinals, while Jake Hatter and Carson Lengle each chipped in an RBIs. Lengle also doubled for Pine Grove (6-7, 2-5).

Tri-Valley 9, Panther Valley 0
HEGINS — Braeden Doyle pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout as Tri-Valley blanked Panther Valley in a Division I game.
Doyle, a senior right-hander, collected six strikeouts and allowed three walks in the shutout performance.
Owen Miller went 2-for-3 with the stick, doubled, scored a run and pushed across four more runs batted in for the Dawgs (11-2, 6-2 D-I), while Gavin Klock added a pair of hits and two more RBIs.
For the Panthers (3-7, 1-6), Connor Penberth, Logan Fisher and Kaden Koerbler each had a hit.
Schuylkill Haven 15
Mahanoy Area 4, 5 inn.
MAHANOY CITY — Talan Spittler hit a three-run home run and totaled four RBIs as Schuylkill Haven rolled past Mahanoy Area in a Division II game.
Michael Terefencko chipped in three RBIs and Johnny Fessler added a pair of RBIs for the Hurricanes, while Landon Trestle tossed all five innings and struck out nine batters.
Joe Rick singled, doubled and collected three RBIs for the Golden Bears.

Jostin Lajara and Johnny Burke each collected a pair of RBIs for the Blue Devils (10-4, 6-2 D-II), while Brayden Maksimik pitched all five innings and struck out nine.
Fletcher Thompson had a hit and tallied both runs batted in for the Vikings (6-6, 4-4).

WEATHERLY — Rocco Griguoli and Jimmy Cannon pitched a combined one-hitter as Marian trounced Weatherly in a Division II game.
Tyler Rebarchak went 3-for-3 and totaled five RBIs for the Colts (7-7, 6-3 D-II), while Griguoli and Alex Diaz each chipped in three RBIs.
For the Wreckers (2-10, 0-8), Raymond Montz had a hit.
