Three Schuylkill League girls’ basketball players were honored Thursday by being named to the 2025 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls’ Basketball Team.
Schuylkill Haven’s Mckenna Runkle, Marian’s Addy Fritz and Lourdes’ Hannah Lokitis were all named to the third team in their respective classifications.
Three teams, a Player of the Year and Coach of the Year in each class were selected through nominations and voting done by sports writers from across Pennsylvania, including T102 Sports Now.
Runkle, a 5-foot-8 sophomore forward, averaged 11.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 4.9 steals per game in leading Schuylkill Haven to a 23-7 overall record and the program’s first-ever Schuylkill League championship.
The Hurricanes were the District 11 Class 3A runner-up and won their first PIAA playoff game since 1985 before falling 56-53 to Pequea Valley in the second round of the PIAA state playoffs.
“Mckenna was a versatile player for us, leading us in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots,” Schuylkill Haven coach Tony Sanders said. “She helped lead us to the Schuylkill League championship and to the district and state playoffs.”

Fritz, a 5-10 junior guard/forward, was the leader of a Marian squad that went 23-5 and reached the PIAA state quarterfinals for the second straight year.
Fritz averaged a team-high 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and led the Fillies with 70 3-pointers. She also contributed 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Marian shared the Schuylkill League Division II title with Williams Valley and was the District 11 Class AA runner-up. The Fillies dusted MaST II Charter 76-11 and edged Elk Lake 47-45 in the state playoffs before falling 57-46 to eventual state champion Berlin Brothersvalley, a game they led entering the fourth quarter.
“I’m happy for Addy that she received this recognition,” said her father and coach, Damian Fritz. “She worked extremely hard last summer and was surrounded by amazing teammates this year. Her commitment in the gym to improve her overall game showed this entire season.
“I know that she is not content with where she is and is already working even harder this offseason to not only improve her skill but to improve the program forward.”
Lokitis, a 6-1 sophomore center, had a breakout season in leading Lourdes to a 23-7 mark and its first District 4 Class A crown since 2019.
Lokitis scored 357 points (11.9 ppg) and averaged 12.8 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game. Her 142 blocks broke the school’s single-season record and gave her the school’s all-time mark with 172 in just two seasons.
Lokitis was the leader of a Red Raiders’ squad that started just one senior and reached the state semifinals. She had 22 points and 14 points in a second-round win over Delco Christian before being held to seven points in a loss to Linville Hill Christian.
