PINE GROVE —  Senior Aidan Grace delivered a standout performance for Blue Mountain, pitching a complete-game three-hit shutout to lead the Eagles to a 1-0 victory over Pine Grove in a Schuylkill League Division I baseball matchup Wednesday at Stump Stadium.

Grace struck out seven batters and recorded four 1-2-3 innings, showcasing his dominance on the mound. At the plate, he provided the game’s only run with an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning, bringing home Aiden Finn. Finn had reached base on a bunt single and advanced to third by stealing both second and third bases before Grace’s decisive hit to left field.

The game was a true pitchers’ duel, with neither team recording an extra-base hit. Pine Grove’s Carson Lengle was impressive in his own right, pitching 6.1 innings, allowing just one run on four hits, and striking out 14. Quinn Brommer relieved Lengle and secured the final two outs for the Cardinals. Offensively, Brommer contributed with two singles for Pine Grove.

With this win, Blue Mountain improves to 6-4 overall and 5-1 in Schuylkill League Division I play. Pine Grove falls to 5-6 overall and 2-4 in league competition.

Lincoln Leadership 4, 5 inn.

WEATHERLY — Joey Esposito drove in four runs and collected three hits as Weatherly rolled past Lincoln Leadership in a non-league game.

The Wreckers jumped ahead 12-0 in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. Kyle Reiner, Kolton Reiner, Michael Davis and Kameron Jacoby each tallied two RBIs for Weatherly, which ended an eight-game losing streak with the win.
