HS Baseball: Blue Raiders, Dawgs collect non-league wins

HEGINS — Bailey Clark and Braeden Doyle combined to total seven hits and 10 RBIs as Tri-Valley rolled past Williams Valley 18-8 in five innings Friday in a non-league baseball game at Edwin H. Ziegler Field.
Doyle went 4-for-5, doubled, scored five runs and totaled five RBIs for the Dawgs (9-1), while Clark went 3-for-3 with five RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Owen Miller added two hits and run scored and Jason Stewart scored three runs for Tri-Valley.

For the Vikings (3-5), Brady Shomper tallied a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Cody Boehmer scored a pair of runs and added two stolen bases.

MINERSVILLE — Logan Morgans went 3-for-4, doubled, scored a run and added an RBI as Tamaqua cruised by Minersville in a non-league game.
The Blue Raiders (8-1) jumped ahead 6-0 by the end of the top of the third inning. Cooper Ansbach and Luke Kane each had two hits and collected a pair of RBIs for Tamaqua. Mason Ligenza added a solo home run.

For the Battlin’ Miners (6-4), Logan Hutsko pushed across an RBI in the bottom of the third inning, while Luke Toth pitched two innings of relief and struck out three batters.
Schuylkill Valley 5, Pottsville 2
POTTSVILLE — Dominic Rynard and Luke Schane each tallied an RBI as Pottsville fell to Schuylkill Valley in a non-league game.
Rynard pitched four innings and struck out six batters for the Crimson Tide (2-8) before being relieved by Landon Trout. Trout pitched three innings of scoreless relief, struck out a pair and only allowed two hits.
