HS Softball: Nativity earns 1st win of season

ALLENTOWN — Macie Rushannon went 2-for-2 with a home run, seven RBIs and three runs scored to power Nativity past Lincoln Leadership Academy 22-5 in three innings Friday in a non-league softball game.
Nativity scored 10 runs in the first inning and 12 more in the second inning.

The victory marked the first for first-year Nativity head coach Steve Kleeman.
Addison Rickard pitched the first inning, and Chloe Covell the last two. They combined on a no-hitter. Covell struck out five in her two innings of work.
Lauren Clark added a home run and five RBIs for Nativity, while Covell went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs. Carleigh Palmieri contributed a single and two RBIs for the winners.
