SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Gavin Wade nailed an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning as Schuylkill Haven earned a walk-off 11-10 victory over Wyomissing in a non-league game Friday at Scott Buffington Field.

Wade, along with Hunter Correll, wreaked havoc in the middle of the Hurricanes’ lineup. Correll and Wade both went 3-for-4 at the plate. Wade roped a double, while Correll added a delivered a big blow early with a 3-run home run to right field in the bottom of the first.

Alan Evans went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, a double and two RBIs for Schuylkill Haven (2-0). Talan Spittler added a pair of singles.

On the hill for the Hurricanes, Spittler and Evans combined for five innings pitched, before Chase Yoder finished the final three and earn his first victory as a pitcher.

Tamaqua 9, Schuylkill Valley 1

TAMAQUA — Noah Mateyak, Cooper Ansbach and Jake Yenser each collected two RBIs as Tamaqua rolled past Schuylkill Valley in a non-league game.

For the Blue Raiders, Mason Ligenza hit a solo home run to start the scoring in the bottom of the first. Mateyak added an RBI single.

Yenser was the starter, pitched three innings and took home the win. Yenser, Gavan Hess and Mateyak combined to strike out 12 across seven innings for Tamaqua.

Blue Mountain 4, Crestwood 0

ORWIGSBURG — Aidan Finn tallied two RBIs as Blue Mountain blanked Crestwood in a non-league game, earning its first win of the season.

Finn pushed across two runs with a single in the bottom of the third inning. Dean Faust added an RBI and Matt Grasso went 3-for-3 with a run scored for the Eagles.

Aidan Grace pitched six innings, allowed three hits and struck out seven for Blue Mountain.
