HS Wrestling: Pine Grove’s Kurtz to compete in Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic

PITTSBURGH — Pine Grove senior Eve Kurtz has been selected to compete in the prestigious 51st annual Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic on March 29 at the AHN Arena at Peters Township High School.
The women’s Pennsylvania team will open the event against the New Jersey All-Stars at 3 p.m. The men’s WPIAL All-Stars will take on the New Jersey All-Stars at 4:15 p.m., followed by the men’s Pennsylvania team facing the USA All-Stars at 6 p.m.
This women’s team of high school seniors is led by a pair of three-time state champions in Bishop McCort’s Jordyn Fouse and Punxsutawney’s Jael Miller and two-time state champ Sierra Chiesa of Northwestern.
Kurtz, who finished sixth at 148 pounds at the PIAA Wrestling Championships will attend Arcadia University in the fall and participate in their wrestling program.
Her opponent for the Classic will be announced at a later date.
