KUTZTOWN — Monica Selgrade went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs for North Schuylkill, but the Spartans fell to Kutztown 13-12 on Monday in a non-league softball game.
North Schuylkill led 12-10 heading to the bottom of the seventh before Kutztown rallied for three runs to gain the walk-off win.
Kutztown jumped out early, scoring eight runs in the first inning. North Schuylkill answered with an eight-run fourth inning.
Brigid Flynn went 2-for 5 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored as part of the Spartans’ 17-hit attack. Other top hitters for North Schuylkill included Jordanna Frie, 2-for-5, home run, three RBIs, two runs; Mallorie Croker, 2-for-5, home run, two RBIs, run; Gianna Capone, 2-for-4, RBI, run; and Lindsey Brouse, 2-for-4.
Sadie Berger had three hits, three runs and two RBIs for Kutztown. Felicia Oldt singled and homered; Kourtney Dietrich added two singles and three RBIs; and Ava Kutz contributed three singles and three runs.
