Monger, Wolfgang, Schlier, Bruso, Tennis, Bushati, Martin, Hehn and McGraw won quarterfinal bouts by fall.
The tournament resumes today, with both Class AA and 3A following the same schedule: Second-round consolations at 9 a.m., championship semifinals and third-round consolations at 10:15 a.m., fourth-round consolations at 11:45 a.m., consolation finals for third and fifth places at 3 p.m., Parade of Champions at 4:30 p.m. and championship finals at 4:45 p.m. (random draw of weights for the finals).
Bethlehem Liberty will host the entire Class 3A event. Day 2 of the Class AA tournament will run through the fourth-round consolations at Bethlehem Freedom, with the small schools joining the big schools at Liberty for the consolation finals and championship finals.
The top five placewinners in Class 3A and the top four placewinners (plus some fifths) in Class AA advance to regionals on Feb. 28 and March 1. Bethlehem Liberty will host the Class 3A Northeast Regional; Bethlehem Freedom will host the Class AA Southeast Regional. The PIAA Wrestling Championships are set for March 6-8 at the Giant Center in Hershey.
District 12 Class AA declined its third qualifier for the Southeast Regional. So the District 11 fifth-place wrestler and the District 3 seventh-place finisher will be compared at each weight class, and whoever has more points will get the spot in regionals.
Class 3A
