HS Wrestling: District 11 releases seed lists

WHITEHALL — The District 11 Wrestling Committee has set the seeds for the District 11 Wrestling Championships, to be held Friday and Saturday in Bethlehem.
The Schuylkill League picked up two No. 1 seeds in Class AA. Tri-Valley sophomore Noah Hanlon is the top seed at 145 pounds, and Williams Valley’s Camron Green is the No. 1 seed at 285.
Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill, Panther Valley, Pine Grove, Schuylkill Haven, Tamaqua, Tri-Valley and Williams Valley will wrestle in Class AA.
Blue Mountain and Pottsville will compete in Class 3A.
Below are the details on the schedule and seeds for both classes. Records are for seeding purposes only and will be adjusted at the end of the tournament:

CLASS AA
When/Where: Friday-Saturday, Freedom High School, Bethlehem and Liberty High School, Bethlehem
Sessions: Friday (at Freedom) — Pigtails at 5 p.m., followed by preliminary round, championship quarterfinals (no earlier than 6:30 p.m.) and first-round consolations at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (at Freedom) — Second-round consolations at 9 a.m., championship semifinals and third-round consolations at 10:15 a.m., fourth-round consolations at 11:45 a.m., (at Liberty) consolation finals for third and fifth places at 3 p.m., Parade of Champions at 4:30 p.m., championship finals at 4:45 p.m. (random draw of weights for the finals)
Advancement: Top 4 placewinners in each weight class qualify for Southeast Regional Wrestling Championships, Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 1, at Freedom High School, Bethlehem.
