HS Wrestling: Pine Grove girls place 2nd at Lebanon Tournament

LEBANON — Geanna Lemke captured individual gold at 142 pounds to lead Pine Grove to a second-place finish Sunday at the 3rd annual Lebanon Girls’ Wrestling Tournament.
Spring Grove won the team title at the 24-team event with 129 points. Pine Grove took the runner-up spot with 103. Shippensburg (94), Exeter Township (91) and Octorara (87) rounded out the top five.
Lemke went 3-0 on the day, decisioning Spring Grove’s Lilly Yohe 7-2 in the finals.
Eve Kurtz (148) also made the finals for the Cardinals, but she settled for second place after a 12-1 loss to Sun Valley’s Jameson Strickland.
Samantha Eisenhauer (136), Renee Eisenhauer (155) and Audrey Graeff (190) placed third for Pine Grove. Samantha Eisenhauer topped Northern Lebanon’s Sadie Ostermayer 12-4, and Renee Eisenhauer pinned Lebanon’s Yilia Fernandez in 1:42 in the bronze-medal bouts. Graeff went 3-2 in a round-robin bracket for her third.
