HS Wrestling: Panther Valley girls top Palmerton
PALMERTON — Kyla McQuillen (136) and Anelia Bennick (170) posted clutch pins to power Panther Valley past Palmerton 30-24 on Wednesday in a non-league girls’ wrestling dual meet.
McQuillen pinned Skylar Benninger at 4:41, though Benninger had an 8-6 lead at the time of the fall. Benninger chose bottom to start the third period, and McQuillen made her pay for that decision.
Bennick held a 6-4 lead over Molly Ries before Bennick turned her opponent for the fall in 2:57.
Bailey Snyder (148), Alisa Williams (190) and Brenda Banks (235) picked up forfeit wins for the Panthers (4-4).
Palmerton fell to 0-6.
