SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — The Pottsville girls were down, but not out.
Trailing by 10 points with three events left, the Crimson Tide rallied to upend Schuylkill Haven 86-81 in a Schuylkill League girls’ swimming dual meet Thursday evening.
The Hurricanes led 66-56 after the ninth event, the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Tide cut the deficit to five when Gianna LaSelva and Isabella Walchak finished first and third in the 100 backstroke, and Elizabeth Martinko and Kahmaya Van Orden followed by placing first and third in the 100 breaststroke.
In the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Adalia LaSelva, Jillian Horvath, Martinko and Gianna LaSelva provided a crucial victory and Pottsville’s B relay placed second to outscore Haven 12-2 and complete the comeback.
Pottsville (9-6, 7-5 SL) picked up individual victories from Gianna LaSelva (200 free, 100 back), Adalia LaSelva (100 fly) and Martinko (100 breast). The Tide also picked up two relay victories as well.
Hope Stauffer (50 free, 100 free) and Nikki Domermuth (200 IM, 500 free) each won two individual events and swam on Haven’s winning 200 freestyle relay. Taylor Fitzpatrick took diving for Schuylkill Haven (8-7, 5-7 SL).

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Genevieve Salefski (200 IM, 100 fly) won a pair of individual events and swam on the winning 200 free relay team as the Spartans (7-6, 6-6 SL) defeated the Fillies (1-11, 1-11 SL) at the Donald Bricker Natatorium.
In addition to Salefski, Kamryn Wolfe (50 free) and Joyce Brian (diving) grabbed victories for the Spartans.
Marian’s Lydia Strucko (200 free, 100 back) won two events and swam on two winning relays, while Kasey Evert (100 free), Delaney Erickson (500 free) and Zoe Katona (100 breast) notched individual wins as well. Strucko set a new North Schuylkill record in the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 2:02.32.

ORWIGSBURG — Sage Kaplafka (50 free, 100 back), Alayna Hensel (200 IM, 100 breast) and Julia Crossen (200 free, 100 free) each won a pair of individual events and swam on two winning relays as the Eagles (14-1, 12-0 SL) defeated the Golden Bears (1-11, 1-11 SL) at the Glen Belmont Natatorium.
Hailey Scheuer (diving) and Ella Crossen (100 fly) picked up individual event wins as well for the Eagles.
Lillian Brown (500 free) won an individual event and swam on the winning 200 free relay team for the Golden Bears

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Jamison Walsh (200 IM, 100 breast) won a pair of individual events and swam on two winning relays for the Tide (13-2, 10-2 SL) as they defeated the Hurricanes (3-11-1, 3-8-1 SL).
John Mohl (50 free), Adam Klinger (diving), Brody Williams (100 free) and Logan Strauss (100 back) each picked up an individual win for the Tide.
Ethan Miller (200 free, 100 fly) won twice for Schuylkill Haven.
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Gavin Mentzer (200 free, 500 free) won a pair of events and swam on two winning relays as the Spartans (9-4, 8-4 SL) defeated the Colts (3-8-1, 3-8-1 SL) at the Donald Bricker Natatorium.
Fabrizio J. Mangianello (100 free) and Chase Meyers (100 breast) each picked up an individual event win and swam on two winning relays as well for the Spartans.
Marian’s Michael Strucko (200 IM, 100 fly) and Andrew Metters (50 free, 100 back) each won a pair of events and swam on the winning 200 medley relay team. Strucko broke the North Schuylkill pool record in the 200 IM with a winning time of 2:02.97.

Liam Magdeburg (200 IM) and Porter Sarnes (500 free) grabbed wins for the Eagles, who swept the relays.
