HS Swimming: Tide’s Klinger breaks diving mark again as Pottsville boys beat Tamaqua

Pottsville diver Adam Klinger
POTTSVILLE — For the second time in less than a week, Adam Klinger changed the Pottsville diving record book.
The Crimson Tide junior broke his own school record in the six-dive competition Thursday as Pottsville downed Tamaqua 105-34 in a Schuylkill League boys’ swim meet at the Ned Hampford Natatorium.
Klinger scored 262.80 on Thursday, eclipsing the previous mark of 255.90 he set Saturday in a non-league meet at Shamokin. Saturday’s score bested Klinger’s mark of 252.75 he posted Dec. 19 against Marian that broke a 29-year-old record.
In addition to Klinger, Noah Bevan (200 free), Michael Prestileo (200 IM), Killian Bressler (50 free), John Mohl (100 fly), Jamison Walsh (100 free), Caiden Wright (500 free), Logan Strauss (100 back) and Marty Davis (100 breast) all won individual events for the Tide (9-1, 7-1 SL) as they won every event to top Tamaqua (3-8-1, 3-4-1 SL).
