LANSFORD — Mckenna Runkle paced a trio of double-digit scorers with 16 points as Schuylkill Haven defeated Panther Valley 58-25 in a Schuylkill League Division I girls’ basketball game Wednesday night.
The victory, Haven’s third straight, officially clinches a District 11 Class 3A playoff berth for the Hurricanes (11-3, 7-1 D-I) and keeps them one game behind North Schuylkill (10-3, 8-0) in the Division I standings.
Kylie Siket added 13 points and Anna Schaeffer tallied 12 for Schuylkill Haven. Schaeffer had six points and Runkle and Siket each had five in the first quarter, helping the Hurricanes race out to an 18-2 lead.
Runkle collected six rebounds, while Siket had seven steals. Haven led 38-9 at intermission.
Morgan Orsulak had 13 points for Panther Valley, which has dropped five of its last six.
