LANSFORD — It’s been a frustrating season so far for the Pottsville girls’ basketball team.
The Crimson Tide put it all together Friday night.
Jes Siminitus scored 16 points and Keirra Jones added 15 as Pottsville upended Panther Valley 53-42 in a Schuylkill League Division I game.
Jo Barnhart added 11 points for the Tide, scoring seven in an 18-7, third-quarter outburst that erased a 22-20 halftime deficit.
Morgan Orsulak led Panther Valley with 15 points, scoring 10 in the second quarter. Lucy Kocha added 10.

PINE GROVE — Audrey Hutchinson scored 18 points and Alea Porter collected 12 points as the Hurricanes ran past the Cardinals in a Division I game.
The Haven defense forced a bevy of turnovers as Kylie Siket (5), Mckenna Runkle (3), Hutchinson (3), Porter (2) and Anna Schaeffer (2) combined to make 15 steals. Schaeffer added six rebounds while Runkle had five.
Hutchinson had 10 points in the first half as the Hurricanes built a 28-14 lead at intermission. She had six more points in an 18-4, third-quarter spurt that allowed Haven to pull away.
Ayla Schneck-Haines scored seven points to pace Pine Grove.

Ayla Castle paced Minersville with 11 points, while Alayna Boom added nine.

Quin Smeltz had six points and Mallory Miller five for Williams Valley, which was outscored 28-6 over the final two frames.
The Williams Valley and Northern Lebanon boys’ teams also played Friday at the Wells Fargo Center, but no results were reported.
