Boys’ Basketball: Tri-Valley tops Nativity in high-scoring clash

POTTSVILLE — Tri-Valley’s scorers sure aren’t selfish.
The Dawgs had five players score double digit points as Tri-Valley cruised by Nativity 83-71 in a Schuylkill League Division II boys’ basketball game Monday atop Lawton’s Hill.
Braedon Doyle, Trey Porter and Owen Miller each matched a team-high 18 points, Gavin Klock chipped in 15 and Blake Schwartz added 12 for the Dawgs.
The win yields Tri-Valley (5-0, 4-0 D-II) the top spot in Division II so far through the season.
For the Hilltoppers (3-2, 3-1 D-II), Trey Keating netted a game-high 25 points, Noah Dolbin collected 19 and Layne Pasker totaled 12.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Latrel Montone led all scorers with 25 points as Pottsville cruised by North Schuylkill in a Division I contest.
Christian Alvarez chipped in 18 points for the Crimson Tide.
For the Spartans, Sam Wall and Xavier McNalley each netted a team-high eight points.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Max Heim netted a game-high 35 points as Schuylkill Haven edged Williams Valley in a Division II contest.
Heim made three 3-points in overtime as the Hurricanes outscored the Vikings 10-7 in the extra frame. Alan Evans chipped in 15 points for Schuylkill Haven, while Brady Kelly added 12.
Kian Kryzanowski collected a team-high 20 points for Williams Valley. Brady Shomper totaled 17 points and Evan Achenbach added 15 for the Vikings.

Meade, Grace and Chase Guers each scored four points in an 18-13, second-quarter run that put Blue Mountain ahead. The Eagles shot 10-of-13 from the foul line in the game.
Connor Penberth led Panther Valley with 13 points, while Logan Fisher had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
