Weekend Basketball Roundup: Mahanoy Area boys rout Lincoln Leadership to stay unbeaten

MAHANOY CITY — Jace Yedsena’s big game helped Mahanoy Area remain unbeaten.
Yedsena paced the Golden Bears and scored a game-high 27 points as Mahanoy Area rolled past Lincoln Leadership 62-36 in a non-conference game Saturday at Mahanoy Area.
Mahanoy Area was locked in from 3-point range, netting a combined 12 field goals from beyond the arc. Yedsena topped the Bears with five 3’s, William Mayberry hit four and totaled 12 points, and Tanner Zawada added two and collected 10 points.
Mahanoy Area (6-0, 3-0 D-I) hosts Minersville (4-1, 3-0 D-I) in a Schuylkill League Division I clash Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Mahanoy Area.
