Girls’ BB Roundup: Smeltz sparks Vikings’ rout of Halifax

TOWER CITY — Sage Smeltz poured in a game-high 29 points as Williams Valley rolled to a 62-31 non-league victory over Halifax in girls’ basketball action Wednesday night.
Mallory Miller added 15 points in the season opener for Williams Valley, which opened the game on a 14-5 run, then used a 17-5, third-quarter spurt to pull away.
