The top three teams in the T102 Sports Now Super 7 high school football poll remained the same for Week 12.
The rest of the poll did not.
Schuylkill Haven (10-1), North Schuylkill (8-3) and Williams Valley (10-1) stayed 1-2-3 in this week’s poll after playoff victories over the weekend. The Hurricanes waffled Palisades 64-14, the Spartans scored a walk-off win over Notre Dame-Green Pond 26-23 in overtime, and Williams Valley dumped Mahanoy Area 60-13. The poll is selected each week in voting done by three T102 Sports Now writers and the broadcast anchors for WPPA and T-102.
After the top three, however, upset losses by Minersville and Blue Mountain shuffled things. Pottsville (6-5) climbed to No. 4 after beating Allentown Central Catholic, while Lehighton (5-6) and Tri-Valley (7-4) climbed into the poll at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Minersville dropped from No. 4 to No. 7 after falling to Executive Education in the District 11 Class AA quarterfinals.
The top six teams in this week’s poll remain alive in the District 11 or District 2/11 subregional playoffs. Previews of those games will come later this week.
