Girls’ Volleyball
Pottsville 3, Mahanoy Area 0 — At Martz Hall, Maggie Brennan had nine kills, two blocks and two digs as Pottsville defeated Mahanoy Area 25-17, 25-13, 25-15 in a Division I match.

Megan Yost added 33 assists, seven digs, two aces and one kill, while Anna Burke contributed nine kills, three blocks and one dig for the Crimson Tide (13-2, 11-0 D-I).

For Mahanoy Area (11-5, 6-5 D-I), Caylen Blashock had five kills and one block; Lexie Chilinskas dished out 15 assists; and Yehilina Reyes made eight digs.
Mahanoy Area won JV 2-1.


Pine Grove 3, Tamaqua 0 — Domani Collazo had 12 kills, four blocks and five aces as Pine Grove swept Tamaqua 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 in a Division I match in Tamaqua.
Grayclin Griffiths added seven kills and four aces, while Mary Fertig had 29 assists and four aces for the Cardinals (11-5, 6-5 D-I).
For Tamaqua (4-14, 0-11 D-I), Leah Black had five kills, Madison Schock had 10 assists and four aces; and Millie Black had four kills and two blocks.
Pine Grove won JV 2-0.
Panther Valley 3, Blue Mountain 0 — Jaelyn Browdy had 10 kills, three digs and one ace to power Panther Valley past Blue Mountain 25-17, 28-26, 25-19 in Division I action at Orwigsburg.
Morgan Orsulak compiled 13 assists, 17 kills, three digs and one ace, while Caroline Breslin chipped in 12 digs and three aces for the Panthers (11-2, 9-2 D-I).
For Blue Mountain (9-6, 7-4 D-I), Jaedyn Bartholomew had 10 kills, 16 digs and one block; Alexa Marshall tallied eight kills, seven digs and one block; and Tess Krasny had 18 digs and two assists.
Panther Valley won JV 2-1.
Schuylkill Haven 3, Nativity 0 — Karlee Feger had 14 kills, six digs and one ace as Schuylkill Haven defeated Nativity 29-27, 25-21, 25-19 in a Division II match in Schuylkill Haven.
Jolynn Ross added 14 digs, 29 assists and three kills; and Teagan Wehr tallied 39 digs, two aces and one kill for the Hurricanes (10-4, 8-3 D-II).
For Nativity (7-6, 7-4 D-II), Sara Spolski had 10 kills, three digs and one assist; Addison Ricard had 25 assists, six digs and two aces; and Julia Carlson added 13 kills and five digs.
Nativity won JV 2-1.
Marian 3, Williams Valley 0 — Alena Lombardo had eight kills, four digs and one ace as Marian defeated Williams Valley 25-8, 25-15, 25-16 in a Division II match at Tower City.
Also for the Fillies (12-3, 10-1 D-II), Maddy Davis had four kills, seven aces and two digs; and Isabella Horvat contributed five kills, four aces and three digs.
For Williams Valley (2-11, 2-8 D-II), Audrina Fry had five kills, three digs, one block and one ace; Emily Miller made 11 digs; and Naomi Carl had three digs, two aces and one assist.
Tri-Valley 3, Weatherly 0 — Liv Lupole had 14 service points, seven aces and five kills as Tri-Valley swept Weatherly 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 in a Division II match at Weatherly.
Faith Melocheck added 10 kills, and one ace; and Callie Melocheck compiled 22 assists, eight service points and two aces for the Bulldogs (11-3, 9-2 D-II).
For Weatherly (4-10, 1-9 D-II), Rachel Rosenlund had two service points and four assists; Kelly Reiner had two service points and two digs; and Abby Binder added four service points and two aces.
Minersville 3, Shenandoah Valley 0 — Ayla Castle had 16 assists, four digs and one ace as Minersville downed Shenandoah Valley 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 in a Division II match at Minersville.
Camryn Colna added seven kills, three aces and 10 digs; and Lydia Harris compiled 10 digs, three kills, two aces and two assists for the Miners (8-10, 6-4 D-II).
For Shenandoah Valley (0-14, 0-10 D-II), Aubrie Monaghan had 12 digs, three kills and two service points; Angelique Zamudio made 20 digs; and Brittany Tufts added seven digs, four assists, four service points and one kill.
Minersville won JV 2-1.
North Schuylkill 3, Lourdes 0 — Kyla Corado had five aces, nine kills and one block as North Schuylkill topped Lourdes 25-16, 25-19, 25-22 in a Division I match at Shamokin.
Lauren Powis compiled four aces, three kills and three digs; Emily Walsh hit six kills for the Spartans (2-10, 2-8 D-I).
For Lourdes (2-8 D-I), Corinne Feese had 13 digs and one ace; Anna Keer added 16 kills, three aces, two blocks and seven digs; and Anna Krebs dished out 22 assists.
North Schuylkill won JV 2-0.

Girls’ Soccer
North Schuylkill 3, Pine Grove 2 — Lilah Helwig scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as North Schuylkill edged Pine Grove in a Division I match at Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium.
Pine Grove (9-5, 6-3 D-I) jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Viktorya Luckenbach and Gianna Pompei.
Back came the Spartans (11-3, 7-2 D-I). Addie Urban got North Schuylkill on the board with 23:51 remaining, and Helwig equalized on a penalty kick with 1:27 left in regulation after a handball in the box. Helwig then won it with a goal with 8:24 remaining in the first overtime.
Maddie Moyer made four saves for North Schuylkill. Alyssa Moyer had 16 saves for Pine Grove.
Pine Grove won the JV match 3-0.
Minersville 1, Tri-Valley 1 — Allie Pennypacker’s second-half goal tied the match and enabled Tri-Valley to earn a draw with Minersville in Division II action in Hegins.
Hope Motuk’s goal gave Minersville (7-6-1, 4-3-1 D-II) a 1-0 halftime lead.
Madyson Schwalm made 11 saves for Tri-Valley (7-4-1, 2-2-1 D-II). Olivia Kopinetz had 22 saves for Minersville.
Blue Mountain 10, Tamaqua 0 — Hailey Scheuer and Kyleigh Batory scored two goals apiece as visiting Blue Mountain shut out Tamaqua in a Division I match.
Kyra Moran, Ella Smith and Caitlyn McGhee added a goal and an assist for the Eagles (9-5, 6-3 D-I).
Makayla Keck made one saves for the shutout in goal. Veronica Scott made 21 saves for Tamaqua (3-10, 2-6 D-I).
Blue Mountain won the JV match 5-1.
Pottsville 2, Southern Columbia 0 — At Alumni Field, Trinity Mendofik and Cami Quirin-Morris notched goals to lift Pottsville to a non-league victory.
Aubrey Scanlan made six saves to record the shutout in goal for the Crimson Tide (10-4-1). Rosie Martino had four saves for Southern Columbia.
The JV match ended in a 0-0 tie.
