Girls’ Soccer
Pottsville 2, Blue Mountain 1 — Bella Wright’s goal, off a Trinity Mendofik assist, at the 70:59 mark lifted Pottsville over Blue Mountain in a Division I match at the Eagles’ Nest.
Hailey Scheuer scored an unassisted goal for Blue Mountain (6-5, 5-3 D-I) at 9:12, and Riley Davis equalized for Pottsville (9-3-1, 8-1 D-I) at 36:54.
Aubrey Scanlan made one save on two shots for Pottsville; Alanza Smith made six saves on eight shots for Blue Mountain.
Blue Mountain won the JV match 1-0.
Schuylkill Haven 5, Minersville 0 — Kylie Siket netted three goals to power Schuylkill Haven past Minersville in a Division II match at Minersville.
Taylor Haag notched one goal and one assist for the Hurricanes (11-1-1, 7-0 D-II). Taylor Siket tallied Schuylkill Haven’s other goal. Cadence Artz, Audrey Hutchinson and Alea Porter picked up assists.
Olivia Kopinetz made 14 saves for Minersville (6-6, 4-3 D-II). Nikki Domermuth stopped seven shots to post the shutout for Schuylkill Haven.
North Schuylkill 13, Marian 1 — Lilah Helwig had three goals and five assists as North Schuylkill overwhelmed Marian in a Division I match moved from Marian to Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium due to wet weather.
Also for the Spartans (9-2, 6-2 D-I), Addie Urban added two goals and two assists; Addy Balicki contributed two goals and three assists; and Jillian Murray tallied one goal and one assist. Samantha Staconis, Taylor Shadle, Marlie White, Mylee Bindie and Katelyn Seeraj scored one goal apiece.
Lizzie Pikitus scored a goal for Marian (2-8, 0-7 D-I).
North Schuylkill keeper Maddie Moyer made three saves; Marian goalie Madison Kattner made 23 saves.
