Girls’ Soccer

Pottsville 15, Marian 0 — At Hometown, Jes Siminitus, Lauren Kelly and Emily Steidle scored two goals apiece to lead Pottsville over Marian in a Division I match.

Abbie Davis added one goal and three assists for the Crimson Tide (7-3-1, 6-1 D-I). Bella Wright, Riley Davis, Hadley Snyder, Myla Fegley, Megan Goodman, Kailey Olenick and Teagan Hart added goals for Pottsville.

Aubrey Scanlan, Rose Russell, Emma Adams and Brennah Sullivan combined on the shutout in goal.

North Schuylkill 5, Blue Mountain 4 — At the Eagles’ Nest, Addie Urban scored on a corner kick with 5:50 remaining in the second overtime to lift North Schuylkill to a Division I win over Blue Mountain. Urban finished with two goals and one assist in the game.

Lilah Helwig added two goals and one assist for the Spartans. Addie Balicki had one goal and one assist for North Schuylkill.

Lexi Waschko netted three goals for Blue Mountain.

The Eagles won the JV game 8-0.

Schuylkill Haven 11, Weatherly 0 — At Weatherly, Taylor Haag had two goals and two assists as Schuylkill Haven shut out Weatherly in a Division II match.

Kylie Siket, Alea Porter and Peyton Butz added two goals apiece for the Hurricanes. Cadence Artz dished out four assists, and Audrey Hutchinson assisted on two goals. Nikki Domermuth posted the shutout in goal; she did not have to make a save.

Girls’ Volleyball

Pottsville 3, Tamaqua 0 — At Pottsville, Megan Yost had 10 aces, 15 assists, two kills and two digs to lead Pottsville past Tamaqua 25-1, 25-5, 25-11 in Division I action.

Brooklyn Reinert added three digs, and Maggie Brennan contributed five kills and five aces for the Crimson Tide.

Pottsville won JV 2-0.

Panther Valley 3, North Schuylkill 0 — At Fountain Springs, Jaelynn Browdy had five aces, seven kills, 10 assists and two digs as Panther Valley topped North Schuylkill 25-17, 25-12, 25-16 in a Division I match.

Abby Benack added 15 assists and four digs, and Caroline Breslin made 11 digs for the Panthers.

For North Schuylkill, Lauren Powis had six kills; Kyla Carado hit four kills; and Brigid Flynn added two kills and six digs.

Panther Valley won JV 2-0.

Pine Grove 3, Mahanoy Area 2 — At Mahanoy City, Domani Collazo had 20 kills, nine digs and four aces as Pine Grove outlasted Mahanoy Area 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 18-28, 16-14 in a Division I mach.

Madison Shiffer added five aces and seven kills; and Mary Fertig had 43 assists and three aces for the Cardinals.

For the Golden Bears, Caylin Blashock had four aces, 14 kills and three blocks; Lexie Chilinskas tallied three kills and 27 assists; and Yehilina Reyes made 20 digs.

Pine Grove won JV 2-0.

Marian 3, Tri-Valley 1 — At Hometown, Alena Lombardo had 15 kills and two blocks as Marian defeated Tri-Valley 25-14, 19-25, 25-15, 29-27 in a Division II match.

Isabella Horvat added 10 kills, one ace, 17 digs and one block; and Caydense Smith chipped in three aces and 22 digs.

For Tri-Valley, Liv Lupole had four aces, five kills and eight digs; and Ellie Dunkelberger had seven kills, one ace and two blocks.

Tri-Valley won JV 2-1.

Nativity 3, Shenandoah Valley 0 — At Shenandoah, Sara Spolski had 13 assists, six digs, five kills and eight aces as Nativity swept Shenandoah Valley 25-16, 25-10, 25-6 in Division II action.

Julianna Carlson added three assists, five digs, two blocks, 15 kills and four aces; and Amara Miller compiled three assists, five digs and one ace for Nativity.

For Shenandoah Valley, Angelique Zamudio had 15 digs; Morgan Labosky tallied five kills and five digs; and Ava Antz had two kills and two assists.

Nativity won JV 2-1.
