Girls’ Soccer

Schuylkill Haven 2, Pine Grove 0 — Taylor Haag and Allie Scherer tallied goals as the Hurricanes (7-1-1) blanked the Cardinals (4-3) in a non-league match at Rotary Field.

Kylie Siket assisted on Scherer’s goal. Nikki Domermuth made two saves to notch the shutout for Schuylkill Haven.

North Schuylkill 4, Minersville 1 — At Minersville, freshman Lilah Helwig scored three times, all in the first half, as the Spartans downed the Miners in a non-league match.

Helwig scored at 15:33, 19:21 and 38:36, while Addie Urban tallied North Schuylkill’s fourth goal at 37:56. Urban, Addie Balicki and Mylee Bindie had assists for the Spartans (6-2).

Hope Motuk scored with 23:57 remaining in the game off a free kick for Minersville’s goal. Olivia Kopinetz made eight saves for the Miners (4-4), while Madelyn Moyer stopped four shots for North Schuylkill.

Pottsville 2, Conrad Weiser 0 — Cami Quirin-Morris had a goal and an assist as the Tide (6-2-1) blanked the Scouts in a non-league contest at Robesonia.

Abbie Davis scored Pottsville’s first goal off an assist by Quirin-Morris at 33:37 before Quirin-Morris netted an unassisted goal at 53:41. Aubrey Scanlan stopped all three Conrad Weiser shots for the shutout.

Northern Lehigh 5, Tamaqua 1 — Katelynn Barthold notched a natural hat trick in the first half, including the 100th goal of her career, as the visiting Bulldogs downed the host Blue Raiders (1-8) in a non-league match.

Stella Regan and Mikayla Gordon added goals for Northern Lehigh, which outshot Tamaqua 26-5. Kim Rudy scored Tamaqua’s lone goal, while Veronica Scott made 18 saves in net.

Boys’ Soccer

North Schuylkill 5, Tamaqua 2 — Brady Welker scored three goals as the Spartans downed the Blue Raiders in a Schuylkill League Division I contest.

Gage Reidler had a goal and an assist for North Schuylkill (4-4, 4-2 D-I), while Zack Marcinowski found the back of the net and Max Helwig tallied two assists.

Aiden Elston scored off an assist by Chase Behr for Tamaqua’s first goal before Jake Tamagini scored in the final minute to set the final score. Nicholas Barron made 14 saves in net for Tamaqua (1-6-1, 1-4-1 D-I), while Kaden Onuschak had six saves for North Schuylkill.

Shenandoah Valley 6, Marian 0 — At Shenandoah, Joan Menjivar recorded a hat trick and Ayden Zamudio collected three assists as the Blue Devils blanked the Colts in a non-league contest.

Sam Mentusky added two goals for Shenandoah Valley (9-1), while Antonio Ruiz had a goal and an assist. Jake Tom and Edison Mitchell combined to make 13 saves in net for Marian (2-6).

Montgomery 2, Williams Valley 1 — At Williamstown, Dylan Sherman’s goal at the 51-minute mark was the game-winner as Montgomery edged the Vikings (2-5) in a non-league contest.

Cody Boehmer’s goal at 18 minutes tied the game at 1-1 and the game remained deadlocked until Sherman’s goal in the second half. Owen Mace had eight saves in net for Williams Valley.

Greenwood 7, Tri-Valley 1 — Lukas Ruch’s goal off an assist by Dawson Neugard was the Bulldogs’ only tally as Greenwood rolled to a non-league victory.

Moravian Academy 4, Blue Mountain 1 — Shawn Batory tallied the only goal for Blue Mountain (4-4) in a non-league loss at Moravian Academy (6-2).

Orhan Tufan connected twice for Moravian Academy, which scored three second-half goals to pull away.

Moravian won the JV match 1-0.

Girls’ Volleyball

Pine Grove 3, Minersville 0 — Domani Collazo notched 11 kills and had four blocks as the visiting Cardinals swept the Miners 25-15, 25-16, 25-10 in a non-league match.

Tori Schaeffer added seven kills and Madison Shiffer had four aces and two kills for Pine Grove (3-4). Ayla Castle collected four aces, seven assists and two digs for Minersville (4-6), while Hailey Bowers had six digs and Hailey Croley compiled four aces and seven digs.

Pine Grove won JV 2-0

Mahanoy Area 3, Salem Christian 0 — Hailey Mroczka compiled four aces, six kills and 11 digs as the Golden Bears downed Salem Christian 25-15, 25-7, 25-21 in a non-league match.

Naomi Kowalick tallied 10 digs and four kills for Mahanoy Area (7-2), while Yehilna Reyes had 16 digs. Mahanoy Area won JV 2-1.

South Williamsport 3, Lourdes 2 — At South Williamsport, Anna Krebs had 25 assists and 14 digs as the Red Raiders dropped a non-league match 25-18, 25-11, 23-25, 23-25, 15-8.

Anna Keer added nine kills, eight blocks and 19 digs for Lourdes, while Corrine Feese had 31 digs and Ella Kerris had two aces, two kills, four assists and seven digs. Lourdes won JV 2-0.

Halifax 3, Williams Valley 0 — At Halifax, Emily Miller had two kills, two aces and seven digs as the Vikings fell to the Wildcats 25-14, 25-16, 25-10.

Naomi Carl added two kills, three aces and five digs for Williams Valley (2-5), while Gabrielle Duprez had two aces and three digs. Halifax won JV 2-0.
