Girls’ Soccer
Pottsville 2, Blue Mountain 0 — Abbie Davis and Emma Quirin-Morris tallied goals as the Crimson Tide blanked the Eagles in a Schuylkill League Division I girls’ soccer match at Alumni Field.
Davis’ goal off an assist by Cami Quirin-Morris at the 6:20 mark gave Pottsville (3-1-1, 3-0 D-I) a 1-0 halftime lead. Emma Quirin-Morris upped the advantage by converting a pass from Davis at the 52:30 mark to make it 2-0.

Aubrey Scanlan stopped all three Blue Mountain (3-2, 2-1 D-I) shots to record the shutout. Alanza Smith and Katie Katerman combined to make three saves for Blue Mountain.
Blue Mountain won JV 2-0.
Schuylkill Haven 5, Minersville 1 — Audrey Hutchinson recorded a hat trick as the Hurricanes recorded a Schuylkill League Division II win over the Miners in a battle of unbeatens at Rotary Field.
Taylor Haag and Kylie Siket also scored for Schuylkill Haven (4-0, 3-0 D-II), while Cadence Artz, Haag and Siket picked up assists. Cullen scored the lone goal for Minersville (3-1, 2-1 D-II).
Pine Grove 8, Tamaqua 0 — At Tamaqua, Viktorya Luckenbach scored three of Pine Grove’s six second-half goals as the Cardinals blanked the Blue Raiders in a Division I contest.
Meadow Umbenhauer and Gianna Pompei scored to give Pine Grove a 2-0 halftime lead before the Cardinals (2-1, 2-1) erupted in the second half. Umbenhauer and Aubrey Aungst upped the margin to 4-0 before Luckenbach scored three straight goals to break the game open. Mia Fasnacht tallied Pine Grove’s final goal.
Veronica Scott had 13 saves in goal for Tamaqua (0-5, 0-3). Alyssa Moyer stopped all three Tamaqua shots to record the shutout for Pine Grove.
North Schuylkill 11, Marian 0 — Lilah Helwig scored three goals and Sam Staconis and Mia McDonald added two apiece as the Spartans rolled past the Fillies (1-2, 0-2) in a Division I match at Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium.
Kyla Yesalusky, Addy Balicki, Ella Digris and Mylee Bindie each added a goal for North Schuylkill (3-1, 2-1), which outshot Marian 28-0.
Girls’ Volleyball
Blue Mountain 3, Panther Valley 2 — Jaedyn Bartholomew compiled 15 kills and 26 digs as the Eagles knocked off the previously unbeaten Panthers 13-25, 25-19, 25-10, 13-25, 15-10 in a Schuylkill League Division I volleyball showdown.
Alexa Marshall added 10 kills and 19 digs for Blue Mountain (4-1), while Isabella Grasso dished out 24 assists and had nine digs. Jaelynn Browdy had six kills, three digs and two aces for Panther Valley (3-1), while Emma Dacey had four kills and 24 digs and Abby Benack had 15 assists and seven digs.
Panther Valley won JV 2-0.
Marian 3, Williams Valley 0 — At Hometown, Alena Lombardo had seven kills and Isabella Horvat had five kills and two aces as the Fillies swept the Vikings 25-10, 25-10, 25-6.
Eris Hayes had 24 assists and two aces for Marian (3-1). Emily Miller collected three kills and five digs, Naomi Carl had 10 assists and two kills and Gabrielle Duprez had two kills and four aces for Williams Valley (1-3).
Marian won JV 2-0.
