Tuesday’s local sports roundup: Volleyball, soccer, golf, girls’ tennis

Tuesday’s Schuylkill League Volleyball Roundup
Tri-Valley 3, Nativity 1 — At Hegins, Liv Lupole smacked 14 kills and had four aces as Tri-Valley knocked off Nativity 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 25-14 in a Schuylkill League Division II match.
Kirra Klinger had 23 digs and five aces and Emma Moore collected four kills and three solo blocks for Tri-Valley (2-1 D-II).
Sara Spolski compiled 22 digs and 12 kills for Nativity (2-1 D-II). Julianna Carlson recorded 16 kills, 13 digs, two blocks and two aces, while Addison Ricard dished out 30 assists with 13 digs and three aces.
Tri-Valley won JV 2-0.
Blue Mountain 3, Tamaqua 0 — At Tamaqua, Jaedyn Bartholomew collected seven kills and 13 digs as the Eagles rolled to a 25-7, 25-18, 25-20 Division I win over the Blue Raiders.
Bella Grasso dished out 26 assists for Blue Mountain (2-1 D-I), while Alexa Marshall compiled four kills and five digs. Millie Black had five kills and two blocks, Leah Black had eight digs and two aces, and Madison Schock had four assists and four digs for Tamaqua (0-3 D-I).
Blue Mountain won JV 2-1.
Panther Valley 3, Pine Grove 0 — Natalie Vermillion notched eight kills, including the 500th of her career, as the Panthers beat the host Cardinals 25-12, 25-13, 25-11 in a Division I contest.
Morgan Orsulak had six aces, two kills and 15 assists for Panther Valley (3-0 D-I), while Emma Dacey had six kills and nine digs. Domani Collazo had seven kills, Lily Flynn had four kills and Madison Shiffer tallied three kills for Pine Grove (1-2 D-I).
Pine Grove won JV 2-0.
Pottsville 3, Lourdes 0 — Rhyan Brennan had 10 kills and five aces as the Tide swept the Red Raiders 25-8, 25-10, 25-10 in a Division I match at Martz Hall.
Megan Yost added 22 assists, five aces and three kills for Pottsville (3-0 D-I), while Anna Burke had six kills. Corrine Feese had seven digs, Anna Keer collected five digs and two kills and Katie Bobkoskie had four digs for Lourdes (1-2 D-I).
Pottsville won JV 2-0.
Schuylkill Haven 3, Weatherly 0 — At Weatherly, Jolynn Ross compiled 23 assists, four digs, three aces and a kill as the Hurricanes captured a 25-22, 25-15, 25-18 victory over the Wreckers.
Teagan Wehr added 19 digs and three aces for Schuylkill Haven (3-0 D-II), while Riley Seligman collected three aces, seven digs and four kills.
Kelly Reiner had 10 service points, three aces, two kills and three blocks for Weatherly (0-3 D-II). Abby Weston added six digs, two kills and three service points, while Abby Teodorescu had two kills and two digs.
Minersville 3, Williams Valley 0 — At Tower City, Camryn Colna notched 11 kills and had 12 digs as the Miners swept the Vikings 25-11, 25-15, 25-15 in a Division II clash.
Ayla Castle had 17 assists and five aces for Minersville (2-1 D-II), while Hailey Croley tallied 10 digs, eight kills and two aces.
Emily Miller had seven digs and three kills, Naomi Carl served three aces and Vera Fausnacht and Gabby Duprez each had six digs for Williams Valley (1-2 D-II).
Williams Valley won JV 2-0.
Mahanoy Area 3, North Schuylkill 0 — At Mahanoy City, Lexi Chilinskas had 17 assists and four aces as the Golden Bears swept the Spartans 25-20, 25-15, 25-19 in a Division I match.
Caylin Blashock added seven kills, six aces and two blocks, while Naomi Kowalick tallied 10 digs and four kills for Mahanoy Area (2-1 D-I). North Schuylkill dropped to 0-3 in Division I.
Mahanoy Area won JV 2-0.

Tuesday’s Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Roundup
Blue Mountain 4, North Schuylkill 0 — At Fountain Springs, the Eagles limited the Spartans to just one shot on goal en route to the Division I victory.
Dylan Knittle and Chase Baldwin scored a minute apart in the first half for Blue Mountain (2-1 league), while Evan Burcik and Blake Batory tallied second-half goals. Blake Batory, Shawn Batory and Robert Bowitz added assists.
Kaden Onuschak stopped 15 shots for North Schuylkill (2-1 league).
Marian 7, Tamaqua 6, OT — In Hometown, Jake Tom’s goal in the first overtime, his fifth of the game, lifted the Colts past the Blue Raiders in a Division I match.
Tom scored a natural hat trick in the second half as Marian (2-1 league) overcame a 3-2 halftime deficit. Aiden Elston scored three goals for Tamaqua (0-2-1 league), while Brody Schlier, Chase Bohr and Adam Schleir also found the back of the net. Edison Mitchell scored a goal and had three assists for the Colts.

Tri-Valley 4, Weatherly 2 — At Weatherly, Nathan Hillard scored a pair of goals and had an assist as the Dawgs outlasted the Wreckers in a Division II contest.
Lukas Ruch and Tyler Mowery also scored for Tri-Valley (1-1 league). C. Wagner and T. Higgins tallied goals for Weatherly (0-3 league).
In other Schuylkill League boys’ soccer action Tuesday, Shenandoah Valley downed Williams Valley 10-2, Minersville beat Nativity 6-3 and Pine Grove blanked Pottsville 5-0.
Tuesday’s girls’ soccer results
Minersville 1, Tamaqua 0 — Grace Sterner’s penalty kick with seven minutes left in the first half was the game’s only goal as the Miners blanked the Blue Raiders in a non-league match.
Olivia Kopinetz made 12 saves for Minersville, while Veronica Scott had six saves for Tamaqua.
