Shenandoah Valley Marching Band presents ‘Viva Las Vegas’
The Shenandoah Valley High School “Blue Devil” Marching Band features 50 musicians in grades 7-12, as well as six flags and eight honor guard for a total complement of 64 students. This is the largest band at Shenandoah Valley in a long time.
The band celebrates 97 years of musical excellence this season.
This year, the band will take fans on a musical journey with its show — “Viva Las Vegas.”
The show starts off with the driving sounds of Elvis Presley and his namesake hit, “Viva Las Vegas.”
The second song features the music of Frank Sinatra, and his hit tune “Come Fly With Me.”
The third tune features the music of Guns N Roses, and their big hit “Welcome to the Jungle.”
The closer features the music of Aerosmith and their song “Dream On.”

Some goals for the band this year are to keep improving the music and marching in the field show, keeping band fun, and continuing to grow the music program.
