Northwestern Lehigh, Notre Dame-Green Pond and Schuylkill Haven lead the way in the inaugural T102SportsNow.com Schuylkill/Colonial Football Cooperative Preseason Media Poll, released Monday.

Northwestern Lehigh, which went 15-1 a season ago and was the PIAA Class 3A state runner-up, tops the big-school Red Division poll. The Tigers earned 14-of-18 first-place votes and 155 points to easily outdistance second-place North Schuylkill, which garnered the other four first-place votes and finished with 132 points. Southern Lehigh (123), Blue Mountain (119) and Pottsville 72 round out the Red Division top five.

Notre Dame-Green Pond sits atop the White Division (Colonial), grabbing seven of eight first-place votes and finishing with 71 out of a possible 80 points. Northern Lehigh was No. 2, earning the other first-place vote and 54 points. Saucon Valley (52), Palisades (44) and Catasauqua (40) round out the top five.

Schuylkill Haven earned the top spot in the Blue Division (Schuylkill), taking 10 out of 14 first-place votes and 132 points. Minersville was No. 2 with three first-place votes and 122 points, followed by Williams Valley (102), Nativity (97) and Tri-Valley (1 first-place vote, 86 points).

The polls were compiled by T102SportsNow.com content editor Leroy Boyer and were sent to all media that cover the Schuylkill/Colonial Football Cooperative in any fashion. Media were asked to vote in the divisions they felt comfortable voting, thus the difference in votes in each division — 18 in Red Division, 8 in White Division, 14 in Blue Division. Teams were awarded points based on the number of teams in that division, with nine (Red and White) and 10 (Blue) being the highest in each division.

Participating media include T102SportsNow, WPPA Radio, T-102 Radio, Allentown Morning Call, Lehigh Valley Live, Lehighton Times-News, Hazleton Standard-Speaker, D11Sports.com, EasternPAFootball.com, PA Football News, Blue Ridge Cable, Penn Sports Radio, NDubsports Roundup and the Shenandoah Sentinel.
